Diet plans are great if you want to lose weight for a short while, but it can be too easy to put the weight back on again as they don't address the true cause of over eating habits such as; low self esteem, emotional issues, stress, boredom, comfort eating etc.

A lot of people set goals to lose a certain amount of weight, lose the weight then put it all back on again, this is where smart goals come into force. As an example, if you currently weigh 14 stone and your goal is to weigh 12 stone, most people focus on losing the 2 stone, once they’ve achieved losing that weight, their subconscious mind says “Yippee, we’ve lost 2 stone….we can eat again”, then the weight gets piled back on again. Your main goal is to weigh 12 stone, once you’ve achieved your ideal weight your subconscious mind says we’re here at the weight where we want to be, now, let’s maintain our ideal weight of 12 stone.
